How to Use This Guide
Each puzzle in Elevator Pitch has a unique "pitch" — a constraint on how you can use the elevator. Solutions are listed in order. If you want a hint instead of a full solution, read only the Hint line.
Floor 1–5
Puzzle 1: Ground Rules
Hint: The button only works once.
Solution: Press the button, then step off before the doors close. The elevator carries the counterweight to floor 2. Ride the stairwell up.
Puzzle 2: Two's Company
Hint: You need to be in two places at once.
Solution: Place the potted plant on the floor sensor. It triggers the second elevator car.
Puzzle 3: Express Lane
Hint: Faster isn't always better.
Solution: Let the elevator overshoot floor 3 and catch it on the way back down. The inertia key only unlocks during descent.
Puzzle 4: Weight Problem
Hint: The scale in the lobby matters.
Solution: Add the fire extinguisher (found in the janitor closet, floor 1B) to your inventory before entering the elevator. The combined weight unlocks the freight mode.
Puzzle 5: Going Up?
Hint: Read the emergency placard.
Solution: Press all floor buttons simultaneously. The emergency protocol kicks in and routes directly to the roof.
